At RWU, students are given opportunities to translate their education into meaningful research that can benefit the community. Mary, a senior biology and chemistry major from Charlton, Massachusetts, has been researching health benefits of various fish species in the Narragansett Bay for the past four years. After presenting her research at various conferences across the country, her findings have since guided fishermen in their work and locals in their consumption of fish from the area.
