Preparing for Success

To us, success is not only about securing a good job.  Success is about leading a fulfilling life, which means living your passion, reaching your full potential, and making an impact in the world around you. Success is a process of learning and adapting as the world around you changes.

A student smiling in classHow do we help you make this happen?  Through strong faculty-student interaction in all of our programs, you will be connected and exposed to career opportunities and the people who will help you reach your goals.

At the center of it all, our Career and Professional Development team begins working with you from day one on campus. We don't focus on "job placement." We believe career development is a path of discovering your passions, building your skill set, developing networks with others, and connecting you with the right opportunities. The value of the Roger Williams approach includes:

  • A vibrant, and engaged alumni network that helps students find internships and jobs, shares career advice, and provides mentorship. For example, our construction management alumni have helped our graduates achieve 100% job placement before graduation for the past several years in a row.
  • Dozens of workshops, site visits, and events – such as personal branding, career fairs, resume building, and mock interviews - each year to prepare you for everything you need in the job search and career success.
  • Access to hundreds of internship and full-time job opportunities, both paid and for-credit across all of our majors.
