Striving Toward Equity: Alumni Launch First Alumni of Color Network at Roger Williams University
Alumni-led initiative aims to offer mentorship and fellowship among alumni and students of color, and support RWU’s equity work.
Our greatest source of support
I’m delighted to begin my new term serving you as the alumni association president. RWU alumni play an important role in advancing the mission of the University in a variety of ways. From helping perspective families discover RWU to mentoring and providing career guidance to current students, we play a role in the RWU experience. Engaging with the University not only provides volunteer opportunities, but a chance to stay connected to the people that made our experience what it was, faculty, staff and classmates. Through social and networking programs like Reunion and regional events, we can strengthen our community and support one another.
The Alumni Board in partnership with the alumni office is here to provide you with resources no matter where you are in life. Membership in the Alumni Association is automatic upon graduation. We encourage you to reach out and share your thoughts on how we can better serve you and strengthen the role our alumni can play in the future of our University. Whether it's through your time, talent or philanthropic support, alumni are integral to the continued success and reputation of Roger Williams. I hope you will reengage and/or continue to support the place that helped shape who we are today and the University the world needs now.
Thank you!
Roger Williams Alumni Association

Reconnect with fellow alums this and join us for new events this fall!
Roger Williams Alumni Weekend (June 5-7) has been cancelled due to the restrictions in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We know how much this event means to our alumni, and we are disappointed that we will not be able to see you. The health and safety of our alumni community remain top priorities, and we look forward to celebrating together in the future.
While it is not possible to see each other in person, there are ways to stay connected to your alma mater and your classmates. Roger Williams Alumni Association has been hosting Lunch & Learn webinars open to all alumni. The past webinars are posted here for your viewing and keep an eye on your email for future dates.
Don’t forget to follow the Roger Williams Alumni Association Facebook page and Instagram page. You can also join The Roger Connection, an online alumni community to stay connected to your alma mater/classmates and/or mentor students.
We will provide an update on a possible new date for reunions and the alumni awards ceremony as event planning guidelines for the fall and beyond are released. We look forward to seeing you when we can celebrate in-person at future events.
Please feel free to reach out to the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@rwu.edu with any questions or concerns. We’re in this together!
