Non-Matriculating Graduate Students

Some graduate programs offer applicants the ability to enroll in an individual course as a non-matriculating student. However, students are limited in the number of courses that can be taken outside of a full degree program. Programs that allow for non-matriculating status are listed below. Students may take no more than two graduate courses in each of the listed programs as non-matriculated students before being required to submit an application for full matriculation.

  • Architecture
  • Criminal Justice
  • Historic Preservation
  • Leadership
  • Literacy Education*
  • Public Administration

Interested applicants must submit an official transcript from their undergraduate institution showing a conferred Bachelor's degree (required in order to be approved to enroll in the course).

*Non-matriculating applicants to the Literacy Education program must also submit a copy of a valid Teaching Certificate.
