Alumni Association Board of Directors Nominations

All graduates of Roger Williams are encouraged to nominate any alumni or themselves for a position on the Roger Williams Alumni Association Board of Directors. 

Nominations open March 6, 2023

The goal of the Roger Williams Alumni Association is to organize, connect, and engage alumni in a meaningful relationship with each other and Roger Williams. The aim of the Association is to develop and maintain programs and activities that both strengthen the Association and support the institution.

The Alumni Association Board seeks members of talent and accomplishment who have a record of engagement with, and service to, the institution. The Alumni Board aims to broadly reflect the demographic, ethnic, racial, gender, and geographic diversity of the school’s alumni and have a commitment to supporting the institution’s mission and anti-racist work.

Former students of Roger Williams who have completed all requirements for an Associate, Baccalaureate, or Advanced degree at the institution are eligible for election to the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Current Roger Williams employees who are also alumni may become members of the Board but are not eligible to hold an officer position.

Membership on the Board is by election of majority vote by active Board members.

*Please submit applications by April 15, 2023 for consideration to join the Roger Williams Alumni Association Board of Directors in the 2023-24 year.

  • First Board of Directors Meeting for 2023-24 year is on Alumni & Reunion Weekend (Saturday, June 3 at 10 am).
  • Applications will continue to be accepted and considered for future Board of Directors selections. 
  • Alumni selected for the Board of Directors will be notified by the Roger Williams Alumni Association Office in May 2023. 
  • Selected Alumni are appointed to a three-year Board of Directors term with option to an additional one- two-year term extension.
In the nomination statement please comment directly and specifically on the nominee’s qualifications for board membership (or your own, in the case of self-nominations), including any activities or involvement with RWU since graduation, significant professional or public service achievements, and important leadership qualities the candidate would bring to the board.
