Marketing & Housing Management Internship
Job Description
For students who have an interest or tied marketing, communication, graphic design, and business administration, this role will be able to allow students to:
- Get hands-on practice managing marketing and social media platforms and projects and to benefit their own education and experiential learning, as well as advance their real-life application of these areas
- Gain experience in collecting, assessing and reporting data as well as provide valuable insight to promote changes in the department and its practices
Year 1
Responsibility/Function
- Assist with the Housing Selection Process
- Help with feedback and assessment gathering
- Help with planning & implementing marketing strategy
- Help with information sessions and webinars
- Help with updating guides and fliers
- Manage DRLH Social Media Accounts
- Setup Hootsuite account to manage DRLH social media
- Manage DRLH Social Media Accounts (Instagram, Facebook, SnapChat)
- Provide Support for Housing Operational Projects
- Break Closings & Openings
- Health & Safety Inspections
- Winter Intersession
Year 2
Responsibility/Function

- Manage DRLH Social Media Accounts
- Manage DLRH Hootsuite account
- Manage DRLH Social Media Accounts (Instagram, Facebook, SnapChat) and develop reports on analytics
- Report Information at Department or Housing Ops meetings
- Provide Support and help lead one of the Housing Operational Projects
- Break Closings & Openings
- Health & Safety Inspections
- Winter Intersession
- Manage Central Office Assistant Team scheduling in conjunction with Housing Operations leadership
Year 3
Responsibility/Function
- Assist with the Housing Selection Process
- Help develop assessment methods for process
- Draft and implement the marketing strategy
- Help present at the information sessions and webinars
- Update guides and fliers
- Manage DRLH Social Media Accounts
- Manage DLRH Hootsuite account
- Manage DRLH Social Media Accounts (Instagram, Facebook, SnapChat); create content and images
- Develop complete DRLH Social Media Report using analytics and make recommendations for future plans and use; present at Department meeting.
- Provide Support and help lead two of the Housing Operational Projects
- Break Closings & Openings
- Health & Safety Inspections
- Winter Intersession
- Serve as a Leader on the Central Office Assistant Team by managing the schedule and helping with training and resources in conjunction with Housing Operations leadership
