Austin Scott wins top student award in International Obama Presidential Center Competition

Claiming second place overall in international competition for the Obama Presidential Library

RWU’s Arch 513 Comprehensive Project Design Studio

In an international competition for the Obama Presidential Library co-sponsored by Archbazar, Built Works, Cannon Design, AIA Chicago, Dwell on Design, Green Apple Campus, Autodeks and Forum 8, RWU M.Arch. student Austin Scott has placed 2nd overall out of more than 425 entries, and was top student in the competition. The competition is a unique, non-binding competition that parallels the ongoing real contest for the Obama Presidential Library recently awarded to Todd Williams Billie Tsien, New York. The project was completed as part of RWU’s Arch 513 Comprehensive Project Design Studio, taught by Assistant Professor Nathan Fash in Spring 2016. Scott’s recognition includes a $2100 award.
