RWU Rhode Trip 2024: College Application Bootcamp

This 10-day immersive college experience will introduce students to a traditional American college campus and provide hands-on college application workshops lead by RWU’s expert team of admissions counselors.

Explore and prepare to attend University in the U.S.

Students sit around a table overlooking Mount Hope BayRoger Williams University (RWU) is delighted to announce that a partnership between the university and Athens College, The American Community School, and The American College of Greece has led to the development of a new summer learning opportunity for students from these institutions.

This intensive application preparation experience will provide students with the skills necessary to successfully complete the Common Application—the most popular college application in the US. Topics include how to compile a strategic college prospect list, write an eye-catching college essay, and tips and tricks to refine college interview skills.

But wait, there’s more! As a bonus opportunity, students will participate in 5 academic seminars that culminate in the award of an RWU micro-credential. During these highly condensed enrichment activities, students will be introduced to majors in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), participate in college-level practical and theoretical coursework, and discuss job opportunities open to students in these fields after graduation. Best of all, students can list this micro credential as a special achievement on their Common Application!
