Welcome to the Richard L. Bready Applied Learning Laboratories, a hub of labs, project rooms and open spaces dedicated to hands-on, collaborative teaching and learning. With our focus on experiential learning and cutting-edge industry trends, the School of Engineering, Computing and Construction Management (SECCM) develops students equipped with the skills and real-world experiences to meet the challenges facing the engineering and design build industries. SECCM faculty have a state-of-the-art facility to deliver the highest quality educational experience to our students – the next generation of engineering, computing and construction management professionals. Boasting 100 percent placement into jobs or graduate school, SECCM's enrollment continues to grow, and the Richard L. Bready Applied Learning Laboratories will accommodate future growth by providing a collaborative hub for applied learning.
Located in the heart of campus, the three-story building gives students the opportunity to test designs and apply new skills in a laboratory environment. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and tools, the Richard L. During the construction phase, the Richard L. Bready Applied Learning Laboratories was a “living laboratory” for student learning. Our project partner Shawmut Construction and Design provided behind-the-scenes access and real-time construction lessons for students, while our professors built hands-on lessons about the Richard L. Bready Applied Learning Laboratories into courses.
Against the backdrop of bulldozers poised in the midst of constructing the building, Roger Williams University held a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 25, for the new Richard L.
