First Generation College Student Day

Each year, the Intercultural Center brings our campus together through a series of events honoring first-generation college students. From networking luncheons and student panels to alumni visits, campus partner tabling, and pinning opportunities, these events are designed to celebrate community, connection, and achievement.

Each November, the Intercultural Center partners with MSU to host a Friendsgiving celebration that brings the campus community together. This end-of-semester gathering provides space to reflect on the past term while enjoying a variety of local, culturally diverse foods that highlight the richness of our community.

Through shared meals and open dialogue, Munch ’n Matters invites students to connect over local Bristol cuisine or home-cooked dishes while discussing issues happening around the world. BIPOC Excellence Celebration

This end-of-year celebration uplifts BIPOC students and recognizes graduating seniors for their involvement with the Intercultural Center. Seniors receive cords to honor their leadership, advocacy, and role in cultivating inclusive spaces and pride in identity throughout the campus community.

Celebrating Heritage, History, and Identity

Throughout the academic year, student organizations take the lead in celebrating Women’s History Month, Black History Month, and Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, with the Intercultural Center serving as a collaborative partner and support hub.
