Pre-Admitted Student Graduate Application Process

If you are pre-admitted to a qualifying 4+1 graduate pathway program, you must opt-in with early interest by filling out the pre-admit enrollment interest form sent to your email during the admission process.

This accelerated program will allow you to earn your master’s degree in just one additional year, or less if summer courses are included. As a reminder, here are the advantages of continuing your education with RWU:

  • Soar Higher Scholarship- automatically receive 25% off full tuition upon acceptance to your graduate program

  • Save Time and Money- take graduate courses that are included in your undergraduate tuition at no additional cost and double count towards your bachelor's and master's

  • Seamless Application Process- application and deposit fees waived, no recommendation letters, transcripts, or letter of intent required

  • Keep your Community- have the option to stay in university housing as a grad student to continue your routines and relationships

  • Fill out the Graduate Application Form during your sophomore or junior year, using your RWU student email and indicating your pre-admit status

  • Select start term for the first semester after your graduation (Ex; if you graduate in May, 2028, select fall 2028 as your graduate program start term)

  • NO application fee, deposit fee, recommendation letters, transcript, or letter of intent required!

  • Meet with your academic advisor to discuss your course registration and timeline

At the graduate level, you are only billed for the credits that you are taking at that time. Most students doing a graduate pathway program will take 1-3 graduate credits during senior year, then complete the rest of the graduate program the following year.

As an RWU student, you will qualify for our RWU Soar Higher Scholarship, which is a 25% reduction of tuition costs.  This discount will appear directly on your bill as a per-credit hour reduction.

Pathway programs are built for students to take one graduate-level course during their undergraduate experience that double counts towards both degrees.  This means it will be included in your undergraduate tuition and count towards your bachelor's degree and then is "waived" from your graduate program course load!

After graduating with your bachelor's degree, you will not be able to use undergraduate loans or undergraduate scholarships as you will be coded as a graduate student. You will fill out the FAFSA using your own information at the graduate level, and most students are eligible for $20,500 in unsubsidized federal student loans because of this. See our Financial Aid pages for more information on graduate loans.
