Lillian Jeznach joined Roger Williams University in the fall of 2016. She received a Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Dr. Jeznach’s research focuses on the analysis of water quantity and quality in both natural and built hydrologic systems. Her research approach uses models to simulate the impacts on important physical, chemical, and biological processes in a system subject to changes in inputs and boundary conditions. She is particularly interested in quantifying the effects of climate change on water quality as well as understanding fate and transport of contaminants in drinking water sources. Other research interests of Dr. Jeznach include evaluating evidence-based teaching practices in STEM education, particularly those which may increase retention of underrepresented students in the engineering discipline.

At Roger Williams, she teaches ENGR 110 – Engineering Graphics and Design, ENGR 115 – Computer Applications for Engineers, ENGR 403 –Engineering Hydrology, ENGR 428 - Open Channel Hydraulics
