The Mary Tefft White Cultural Center Lecture Series presents Imagining the Indian: The Fight Against Native American Mascoting, a conversation with Professor Kevin Blackistone and Roger Williams University's Dr. Brian Hendrickson, on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 4:30pm in the University Library.

Professor Blackistone is a columnist for the Washington Post, a regular panelist on ESPN's Around the Horn, and a frequent guest on NPR and the PBS NewsHour. A professor of the practice at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, he recently released a new documentary film that he co-wrote and produced about Native American "mascoting" in sports.
