At Roger Williams University, we are committed to promote health and wellness on campus through providing quality health care with compassion, professionalism and excellence.

We are focused on providing students with a holistic model of wellness, where we acknowledge the importance of 10 dimensions of wellness for every RWU student. We believe that providing support and resources to all students will guide them towards becoming happy and healthy individuals that will succeed at RWU and beyond.

Roger Wellness is a new framework created to promote resources for all aspects of health & wellness on campus. The focus is to provide students with important updates on Health Services, Counseling, and Health Education events.

Sexual Assault & Dating Violence

The Office of Title IX is responsible for ensuring that students at RWU have all the necessary resources in case they experience any sexual assault, discrimination, or dating violence on campus.

Title IX is a federal law that was passed in 1972 to ensure that male and female students and employees in educational settings are treated equally and fairly. It protects against discrimination based on sex (including sexual harassment).

The preamble to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 states that:

“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”
