Job Description
All volunteers, work study students and community outreach are working under the auspice of the Bristol Animal Shelter, following all the same protocols and guidelines followed by Animal Control staff. All volunteers, work studies, and community outreach are scheduled and work under the direction of the Volunteer Coordinator; however, Animal Control Officers are responsible for volunteers while they are in the facility.
You must have attended a training seminar, or have received individual instruction on Shelter Maintenance from the Volunteer/Program Coordinator or an Animal Control Officer.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with Care & Maintenance of Animals
- Assist with Projects
- Assist with Fundraising
- Socialize Animals with Staff
*Students are prohibited from driving during work-study employment with the limited exception of authorized work-study driver positions.
