Introduction
Dr. Katie Monthie is a Lecturer for Writing at Roger Williams University. She teaches two core composition courses, WTNG 102: How Writing Works and WTNG 225: Writing for Professional and Public Contexts.
Research Overview
Most of her research considers how composing and objects relate to each other, through crafting, dorm rooms, and clothing. Her dissertation, Curating the Closet, uses queer theory to establish clothing as a tool for "composing" queer identity, as seen in archival material. She has published in Peitho and Xchanges, and wrote a chapter for the forthcoming edited collection, Teaching with Taylor.

If she's not teaching, writing, or crafting, you can probably find her reading a mystery novel or playing Stardew Valley.
