Graduate Assistant: SAS Skills Development, Access, and Inclusive Learning
The Graduate Assistant: SAS Skills Development, Access, and Inclusive Learning will be supervised and mentored in partnership between SAS and Education Department. The GA will support communication improvement efforts across university networks, such as with the Education Department and Office of Educational Partnerships, Clinical Experiences, and Program Quality to increase alignment between program policy and clinical engagement expectations that will enhance stakeholder campus and community partners experiences.
- Develop, deliver, and utilize self-reflective practice to structure engaging lessons that translate learning strategies into real-world application
- Facilitate small groups and workshops that promote independence, confidence, and academic and career readiness success
- Support students in understanding and utilizing strategies that enhance access within their courses, campus experience, and community engagement expectations
- Contribute to training and outreach efforts that promote inclusive learning environments across the university
- Collaborate with campus partners and supervisor(s) to reflect on practice and ensure programming is responsive to student needs and aligned with institutional practices
- Participate in ongoing supervision and feedback with professional faculty and staff to support skill development, reflection and growth in applied practice
Required Qualifications
- Must be current or accepted RWU graduate student (Education preferred)
- Be in good academic and judicial standing with the University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Empathy, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality
- Knowledge of and proficiency with computer software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office programs).
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Adhere to strict confidentiality policies when working with students and accessing student records
- Experience with presentations, teaching, training, or student engagement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in education, counseling, disability services, or student support
- Interest in neurodiversity, accessibility, and inclusive program development
- Experience with presentations, training, or student engagement initiatives
Must be a current graduate student accepted at RWU. This role will be available for the 2026-2027 academic year.
May work 10-12 hours/week, paid at $20/hour up to $4,000 per academic year.
