The rankings evaluate programs based on academic quality, career outcomes, and admissions data, along with surveys of students, alumni, and school administrators.

Among this year’s results, GSB rose 28 places in Academic Experience, moving from No. 76 to No. 48 – one of the most significant jumps in the category. The gain reflects the school’s emphasis on experiential learning, close faculty engagement, and hands-on opportunities that prepare students to navigate real-world business challenges.

“We are proud of the extraordinary work our faculty does every day to create a rich, experiential learning environment,” said Diya Das, Dean of the Mario J. Gabelli School of Business. “This recognition reflects their dedication to delivering a transformative educational experience.”

The school also improved in Career Outcomes, climbing from No. 59 to No. 55. The advancement reflects the school’s continued emphasis on career preparation and strong employer partnerships. Collaboration with the Center for Career & Professional Development has played an important role in strengthening internship opportunities, job placement, and career readiness initiatives.

Overall, GSB ranked No. 82 in the 2026 list. School leaders emphasized that the most meaningful indicators – Academic Experience and Career Outcomes – both showed upward momentum.

“The headline is clear: in the areas that matter most to our students and our mission, we are moving in the right direction,” Das said.
