The Center for Corporate Communication was formed to engage in research and practice in stakeholder relations. The Center applies strategic communication principles to business decisions to enhance organizational value, and works with varied enterprises to understand and operationalize stakeholder communication to meet their organizational goals. Position Overview
This cutting-edge PR lab functions as a dynamic platform where partners and clients can connect with ambitious and innovative young talents eager to channel their passions into the corporate landscape. This position cultivates meaningful relationships that lead to impactful projects, working to enhance a brand’s visibility and influence. This position will be a student manager and the candidate must be committed to learning real world skills and then training the next generation of public relations practitioners. The position will undertake project management skills, including budgeting and promotion, be front facing with clients, students, and academics.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for CCC’s student-led client teams
- Assist in fundraising activities and budget building
- Hold regularly scheduled meetings with Center Director, faculty, PRSSA and other ancillary groups that may touch on our mission
- Assist the Faculty Lab director and Centre Director evaluating and motivating firm members
- Maintaining on-going contact with the firm, Faculty and Professional Advisers.
- Hold regular office hours at the CCC.
- Track milestones and promote such though established media channels to relevant stakeholders
- Represent the Center for Corporate Communication professionally in internal and client-facing settings
Qualifications
- FIIT Intern or eligible for the Federal Work-Study Program
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Interest in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Marketing, or related fields
- Ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and timelines simultaneously
- Professional demeanor and confidence working within a leadership structure
- Comfortable supporting peers while maintaining accountability and standards
Time Commitment
- 5–15 hours per week (based on work-study eligibility)
- Ability to work in office 1–2 times per week
*Students are prohibited from driving during work-study employment with the limited exception of authorized work-study driver positions.
