Marketing & Social Media Work Study Internship
Job Description
Location: Linden Place, Bristol, RI
Hours: Flexible, 8–12 hours/week (some weekend or evening events possible)
Linden Place Mansion is a historic house museum and cultural center in the heart of Bristol, RI. We host concerts, lectures, tours, weddings, and community events year-round. We’re looking for a creative, motivated intern to help us share our stories and events with the world.
As our Marketing & Social Media Work Study or Intern, you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping our online presence. From brainstorming TikTok trends to capturing behind-the-scenes moments at events, you’ll help us connect with audiences in fresh and engaging ways while gaining real-world marketing experience.
Responsibilities:
- Create and schedule content for Linden Place’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
- Brainstorm, film, and edit short-form videos (TikTok/Reels) that highlight Linden Place’s history, events, and personality.
- Assist with photography at events and daily museum life.
- Write engaging captions, hashtags, and blog posts.
- Monitor trends and suggest creative ways to connect them to Linden Place’s mission.
- Assist with email marketing, flyers, press releases, and social media graphics.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university (marketing, communications, journalism, film, history, or related field preferred).
- Passion for storytelling and visual content creation.
- Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and social media best practices.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Basic photo/video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar).
- Self-motivated, creative, and willing to try new things.
