RWU Hosts AIA Rhode Island at New Providence location

American Institute of Architects Rhode Island

The American Institute of Architects Rhode Island chapter has moved its headquarters to Roger Williams University’s new Providence location at One Empire Plaza, from its prior location at RWU’s former facility at 150 Washington Street, Providence. AIA Rhode Island has been located at RWU’s Providence locations since 2007, when the AIA RI Window on Architecture became one of only three AIA Chapter headquarters nationally to be established at an educational institution, and the only one in an urban location. AIAri’s new space on the ground floor and additional space when needed supports regular educational seminars, chapter and board meetings, and temporary exhibits. AIAri and Roger Williams University’s partnership on space for the chapter received an AIA national award in 2010.
