Ginette Wessel Joins SAAHP

Ginette Wessel, Ph.D.

Ginette Wessel, Ph.D., joins SAAHP as Assistant Professor of Architecture, and will be teaching coursework in Site+ Environment, Urban and Regional Planning in Fall 2016. Wessel received her Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, following achieving her M.Arch. and MS in Geography with a Concentration in Community Planning from UNC Charlotte (where she won thesis awards in each discipline), and BS from Southern Illinois. Wessel has taught at UC Berkeley including as the Director of the (IN)CITY Summer Institute in Planning and at San Jose State University. Her scholarship will be included in an upcoming book from MIT Press. Wessel received several fellowships and teaching awards while a Ph.D. student at UC Berkeley.
