2016 AIA New England Award Winners - 18 of 41 connected to Roger Williams University
18 of 41 award winners - almost one half of all awards - announced at the 2016 American Institute of Architects (AIA) New England Design Awards Program in Portland, Maine this Fall were connected to Roger Williams University as Faculty, Teaching Firms in Residence, or alumni.

The annual awards program recognizes design excellence in projects in New England or by New England architects. 237 projects were reviewed by a New York-based jury led by Susan Rodriguez FAIA, partner at ENNEAD ARCHITECTS LLP, with Rosalie Genevro, executive director of the Architectural League of New York; Kimberly Holden, principal of SHoP Architects; and Michael Manfredi, co-founder of Weiss / Manfredi Architects. Awards were given over a number of categories in three classifications: Honor, Merit, and Citation, with Honor being the highest category.
