Graduate Assistant Graduate Admissions

The Graduate Admission GA will be supervised by the admission team and will contribute to Graduate Admission events and team tasks.  The GA will have check-ins while working in the office (Alumni and Admission Center) and will be expected to attend events organized by the Grad/UG admission team. Students applying to this position should have a desire to help prospective students through the research and application process for graduate school, aspire to represent RWU graduate programs in a positive light, and are comfortable making calls and emails to prospective students and partners.

  • Assist with inquiry follow-up via email, phone, webchat, and Zoom
  • Advise students on basic graduate program information and important dates and deadlines
  • Assist students in successfully navigating the admission process
  • Assist with special projects for admissions recruitment and marketing
  • Assist with events and tours, both virtual and on/off-campus
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student correspondence in CRM system
  • Ensure all student questions are addressed and/or appropriate action is taken
  • Communicate with admission representatives about student questions and escalate when needed
  • May be asked to contribute content to department social media platforms and blog
  • Use of tact and sensitivity in handling private student information

Required Qualifications 

  • Must be current RWU graduate student
  • Be in good academic and judicial standing with the University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality policies (and sign confidentiality agreement) when working with students and accessing student records
  • Position may include night and weekend events
  • Strong interpersonal, phone, and email skills

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous experience in an office environment or customer service role desired 
  • Blog writing experience
  • Experience with social Media, photography, and Canva/editing
  • Physical Demands - This position will require giving tours of the campus 

Must be a current graduate student at RWU. This role will be available for the 2026-2027 academic year.

May work 4-8 hours/week, paid at $20/hour up to $4,000 per academic year.
