Student Engagement Graduate Assistant

The Student Engagement Graduate Assistant will report directly to Carol Sacchetti.  This position resides in the SPLO/Student Life Office.  The GA will be able to work in a variety of projects, including those in a team and individual setting.

  • Support the work of professional staff as it relates to developing and executing campus programming, advising clubs and organizations, student leadership program, and assisting in the New Student Orientation program.
  • Responsible for recruiting, coordinating, and evaluating the Hawks Leadership Academy
  • Work with active clubs and organization student leaders on recruitment and retention of members
  • Create opportunities for students by planning and attending major campus events
  • Work with various campus technology including social media and marketing
  • Attend regular meetings with supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications 

  • Must be current or accepted RWU graduate student
  • Be in good academic and judicial standing with the University and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality policies when working with students and accessing student records

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous orientation advisor/student life experience in undergraduate
  • Leadership or supervision experience

Must be a current graduate student or an accepted graduate student at RWU. This role will be available for the 2025-2026 academic year.

May work 10-15 hours/week, paid at $20/hour up to $4,000 per academic year.
