What I was doing before RWU:

Before arriving at RWU for historic preservation, I attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia where I obtained a B.A. in History.

My future plans:

Currently, my future plans are rather simple. Once I obtain my degree from RWU, I will be looking to hopefully remain up here in New England with a job or see what opportunities come my way. Otherwise, I plan to visit Canada for the first time in years next summer and visit family residing there.

My favorite parts of my student experience at RWU:

My favorite part of my student experience here at RWU is both the fact that those within the preservation program and those within the student body are rather welcoming. Much of the staff as well is willing to hold rather in-depth discussions about topics and hear all sides from the students. There is almost always something going on as well on or near campus that are rather enjoyable and are a great way to take a break from the stress from time to time.

Best advice for students planning to go to graduate school:

The best advice I could give to students who plan on attending graduate school is that firstly never be afraid to ask questions, and get acquainted with your teachers as well as your advisor if possible. This will help the adjustment to graduate school a lot easier as, in personal experience, I have has the same professors for multiple courses, and knowing them prior made the course much more enjoyable.

Favorite things to do in the area:

My favorite thing to do in the area is to look around the local small shops in Bristol as they have a lot of cool finds. All of the shops are in walkable areas, so it's even enjoyable without having a car to worry about. There are also a lot of sites to see, which is always enjoyable to see during the warmer months of the year.
