RWU has engaged with the national search firm, Spelman Johnson, which is nationally recognized for its work in identifying and recruiting outstanding leaders across education, advocacy associations, and social impact organizations, with nearly 30 years of search experience and a deep commitment to ensuring a diverse, equitable and inclusive search process. With a 97 percent successful placement rate, the firm is responsible for greatly diversifying the talent pipeline through its work, with 50 percent of all of its searches resulting in a person of color being hired and 48 percent in the hiring of a woman.

Position Profile

Reporting directly to President Ioannis Miaoulis, the next Vice President for Equity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer is charged with shaping, articulating, and enabling RWU’s strategies for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across both campuses (Bristol and Providence) of the University.
