AlcoholEdu, Sexual Assault Prevention
and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Welcome new RWU students! Roger Williams University partners with EverFi, whose mission is to help college students address critical life skills such as alcohol misuse prevention, sexual assault prevention, and building relationships with people different from themselves. Each year over 500,000 students complete these courses.

As part of our New Student Orientation, Roger Williams University expects you to complete 3 online courses: AlcoholEdu (alcohol education), Sexual Assault Prevention and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). These 3 courses can assist you in establishing healthy, positive relationships and making well-informed decisions about issues that affect your college years and beyond.

Information on the EverFi program will be sent to students via email and discussed at the June Orientation program.  The online courses will not begin until January 5, 2022 for new students starting RWU for the Spring 2022 semester.

Part 1 Courses - Due by February 4, 2022
As part of our comprehensive prevention program for new students, you will need to complete the following three (3) courses:

  1. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  2. AlcoholEdu
  3. Sexual Assault Prevention

The courses will be available for you to complete throughout the month of January.  You will receive an email directly to your RWU email account when each course is ready for you to complete. Included in that email will be a unique link for you to access each course. All three courses must be completed prior to the start of the spring semester, by February 4, 2022  Not completing these 3 separate courses will delay your check-in process and start of your semester.

Part 2 Surveys - Due by March 4, 2022
Around 30-45 days upon completing each course in Part 1, you will receive an e-mail inviting you to take Part 2 (which are brief follow up surveys) and are due by March 4, 2022. These must be completed in order for you to view your fall grades and register for classes and housing.

Important Information for Getting Started

  • You will need internet access and audio capabilities. The courses can be completed on a laptop, tablet or smartphone.
