Joeb Moore Partners Architects (JMPA) in Greenwich, CT is a Fall 2016 Teaching Firm in Residence. The firm’s work has received more than 50 national, regional and state awards through creating precise and creative buildings, landscapes and environments that explore the interface between the social and physical, convention and invention, and sensitive responses to nature and the ecologies of place.
JMPA’s studio will focus on “Food Networks + Community-Based Design”, at a site in Stonington, CT, and investigate issues and questions centered around Historic Preservation, ecological systems and landscape, and community based design within an architectural design project. The studio will take up this project which JMPA and landscape architects Reed Hildebrand have been working on.
The firm’s faculty participants will be Moore, Alex Chabla, RWU alumni Devin Picardi (who received his BS + M.Arch. dual degree in 2012, and was an M.Arch. Thesis Award winner), Bob Scott, and Matt Burgermaster. Doug Reed of Reed Hildebrand Cambridge MA and Kim Yao, Principal at Architecture Research Office (ARO) New York will participate in reviews and discussions with the studio.
