The Roger Williams University Career Center prepares our students and alumni for life after college by helping individuals understand their personal and professional values and interests and acquire the skills necessary to obtain professional employment or admission into graduate school.
We provide on-going educational opportunities for students and alumni to learn to manage their careers. Career Center professionals are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in teaching, advising and role modeling.
The Career Center provides students and alumni a life-long connection to the University and to our local, national and global communities. Hours During the Academic Year
The Career Center is open Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00. You may come in to use the library without an appointment, or you can contact the office, (401) 254-3224, to make an appointment to meet with an available staff member.
Walk-in hours are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:00-1:00 for quick questions or resume/cover letter/grad application reviews. Please note, if, due to a large number of participants on a given day, you could not be seen during walk-ins, you will be given the opportunity to make an appointment.
Finding the Career Center
The Career Center is located across from the Lower Commons in the Career Exploration and Civic Engagement building. If you are new to campus or have not been here for a while, simply stop at the front gate and someone from the public safety staff can direct you.
Be sure to stop at the front gate and speak to a public safety staff member to receive a parking pass if you do not have one. For events, like the Career Fair, you will be directed to specially arranged parking spaces. If you have any questions, just contact our office in advance.
