Welcome to the Feinstein College of Arts and Sciences (FCAS)—the heart of Roger Williams University. FCAS carries on in the great tradition of liberal arts colleges, providing a unifying center of transdisciplinary education to all RWU students. Teaching and learning in FCAS are characterized by exploration, diversity, inquiry, interaction, tolerance, confidence, competence, community and service. The depth and breadth of programs in FCAS make it the most highly attended school at the University, and home to 22 of our 42 majors.
RWU's Center for Economic and Environmental Development encourages hands-on student/faculty research and strategic environmental management and entrepreneurship for a sustainable environment. Through CEED, RWU has released millions of oysters and quahogs into local waters--restoring local shellfish populations, partnered with the New England Aquarium to create a program in aquarium science, hired a marine veterinarian and created a thriving marine ornamentals program right on campus.

If you are an undeclared major, are considering switching majors or have no idea what you want to major in, we've got you covered. Our professional advising staff can help choose your major, work through the system and talk to you about all of RWU's various possibilities. Make an appointment today!

RWU holds auditions for The Dance Theatre--the university's dance company--each semester. The company presents at major concert series, mini-concerts, workshops and presentations in the state and region as well as the American College Dance Festival. Recently, the RWU company was the sole New England respresentation at the National Gala Concert at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
