Building Monitor

Job Description

1. Building Monitor are expected to serve as a resource and presence in the early mornings, evenings, and weekends to act as a “troubleshooter” 
2. Supervise the activities and functions within the recreation and fitness center 
3. Open Fitness Center and recreation center on a daily basis
4. Close the Center and recreation center on a nightly basis
5. Responsible for coordinating with relevant departments ie: Public Safety, Facilities, Student Life
6. Monitor access to the Center by checking in patrons via IMLeagues 
7. Respond to questions, provide information, and conduct referrals to other areas on campus 
8. Ensure fitness monitors are inspecting the cleanliness of the fitness area
9. Ensure the building is being used by members only
10. Ensure all policies and procedures are followed

Special Skills Needed: 
CPR certification preferred but not required
