April 25, 2022 – All participants in the campaign are represented on the magic info screens across both campuses.
April 10, 2022 – Phase 2 posters launch on digital screens; posters to be installed on Bristol campus and Providence campus over following two weeks.
March 17, 2022 – 'Racism Stops with Me' pole banners on display surrounding quad outside of Library.
March 10, 2022 – Photo sessions for phase 2 posters begin. Over 15 different allies and groups across the university participate.
February 16-22 – Institutional Leaders and the Board of Trustees commit to participating in brand-new DEI module, "Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging for Leaders" as part of the University's commitment to making DEI a priority at all levels.
Feb. 15-25, 2022 – All undergraduate students are asked to complete the Diverse Learning Environments Survey, an opportunity for all students to share their thoughts about the campus climate that will allow RWU to better understand the concerns of students with different social identities included race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ability/disability status, veterans and more.
Feb. 15, 2022 – More than 180 faculty and staff participate, either in-person or virtually, in conversation about the origins of the campaign, upcoming events, and ways to get involved. RWU community members can access the session via Bridges: Watch
Feb. 14, 2022 – First phase of RWU's 'Racism Stops With Me' campaign launches with posters across Bristol and Providence campuses, RWU-wide email and plan going forward.
Jan. 29, 2022 – Campaign team presents at Student Org Retreat to review campaign plan and concept, and gathers additional feedback for launch.
Dec. 16, 2021 – Campaign team meets with Residence Life to review potential concept, discuss feedback and help develop additional outreach ideas.
Nov. 8, 2021 – Survey sent to all students to help inform key elements of the campaign, including audience, goal, messaging and outreach channels to utilize. Over 400+ responses were received.
Oct. 28, 2021 – Conversations on Campus Climate convened on Preventing and Resolving Bias Incidents, sponsored by the Divisions of Equity & Inclusion and Student Life; afternoon and evening sessions offered, with in-person and remote options.
Oct. 25, 2021 – Student Senate votes to pass SS48-003 A Resolution Encouraging University Marketing to Create and Implement a Comprehensive Antiracism Campaign.
Oct. 22, 2021 – RWU students protest incidents of bias on Bristol campus.
