How do I get started with rCloud?
There are two ways to use rCloud:
- You can click the install button to download the application on your Windows, Mac, Ubuntu, Linux, iOS, or Android device. This allows you to connect to your virtual desktop applications from your device of choice. Make sure you are using the correct set of instructions for your device.
- If you don't have administrative privileges to install software on your device, click here to run rCloud right through your web browser without any installation. If you need help click on the Contact link for resources.
Why can't I log in?
It is very important that you are logging in to the correct domain.If you are a FANS student you should be logging in to: https://fansvpn.rwu.edu. If you are a SAAHP, SECCM, or SCS/MPA/LEAD student you should be logging in to: https://myrcloud.rwu.edu
You can try updating your Citrix Receiver using this link which may resolve the issue.
If your login is still not working then you may have other issues with your account. Contact the IT Help Desk at 401-254-6363 or send email to email@example.com for assistance.
Do I need to purchase additional software for my classes?
Everything you need for your courses is included when you log in to the rCloud. You will not need to purchase any additional software.
What kind of computer do I need to participate?
You don't need any specialized equipment (you can even connect from a mobile device!) however you will need a minimum of Windows XP SP3 or Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard operating system in order to function.
Does it make a difference which browser I use?
Although rCloud will work with Internet Explorer and Firefox, we reccomend Google Chrome for best results.
If you are experiencing desktop problems the simplest fix is to log off or shut down. When you log back in you'll get a new desktop and should be able to continue working.
I accidentally disconnected. What do I do now?
You have an hour to log back in from any computer or device to get back into your session. After an hour any unsaved work will be lost.
I can't get to the myrcloud page.What's happening?
If you are on campus and have not registered your device on the RWU network you will need to first go through the Bradford registration process. Once you have successfully registered your device yoiu should be able to proceed to the myrcloud page.
