Spring Opening Processes
Welcome RWU Hawks & Families!
We are excited to have our students and their loved ones join us for our check-in and move-in processes for this year! In an effort to maximize physical distancing requirements throughout these processes, we have limited arrivals to campus and have spread out the check-in and move-in processes.
Campus Safety in Mind
Please know that all of the information outlined in this process have been made with campus, student, and family health and safety in mind. To ensure we have a safe and efficient experience, everyone (students, families, and RWU staff members) are required to adhere to the following:
- Physical distancing (maintaining a 6-foot distance) will be expected.
- Wear masks while on campus and be expected to practice all other CDC recommended guidelines.
- Only students should enter the Campus Recreation Center for the check-in process (where students are tested and receive their materials). We are asking parents to stay in/with the vehicle until the student returns.
- Only the same member/loved one may leave the car on campus with a student when moving their items into their residential community.
What is the difference between the Check-In Process and the Move-In Process?
The Check-In Process is where every residential and non-residential student will go to be tested for COVID-19 and receive important materials (room key, hall access, parking pass, etc.). The Move-In Process consists of residential students and their loved ones moving their items into their residential community.
