Health & Wellness Resources

Going to college is an exciting time. It is a time for gaining new knowledge and experiences, both inside and outside the classroom. Here are a few resources for staying healthy and safe in college.

General Health

  • Eat a healthy and balanced diet
  • Stay active.  Adults need at least 30 minutes of physical activity a minimum of 5 days a week 
  • Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep per day.
  • Manage stress and maintain balance. 
  • Get tested for sexually transmitted infections and know your status.
  • Know the dangers of binge drinking and limit alcohol.
  • Know the dangers of cigarette smoking and juuling.  Don't smoke.
  • Avoid illicit drug use. 
  • Seek help from Health Services or the Counseling Center if you are depressed or experiencing distress.
