Come Visit Us
Please note that the University has made decisions recently related to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) that affect our campus visit and events schedule. All campus visit tours through April 30 have been canceled. Please click here for the latest updates and information, as well as virtual ways to engage with us during this time.
Campus Tours & Information Sessions
Join us for a student-led campus tour and an admission information session presented by a professional admission staff member. The 30-minute presentation will allow you to discover what makes Roger Williams University distinctive, and will cover information and tips about the application, scholarships and the financial aid processes. During the 60-to-75-minute campus tour you will explore all corners of campus with a current student who will share personal experiences and stories about the RWU community.
Information sessions and campus tours are offered Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. On Saturdays, we offer 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. information sessions and tours, as well as an optional special presentation at 11:45 a.m. - Navigating Your College Search. This special presentation will provide general, insider tips and advice designed to help all students and families.
While formal interviews are not part of our admission process, individual appointments for an informal meeting are available upon request.
Special Visits for Admitted Students
Weekly Information Session + Campus Tour options: From January through April, admitted students are invited to attend a specialized 11:30 a.m. visit, offered Monday through Friday.
Saturday visits: Admitted student are invited to enjoy brunch at 12 p.m. with Admission Team Members (staff and students) as a compliment to the 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. information session and tour.
April 19 Spring Open House – Canceled
As we continue to track the COVID-19 pandemic and act in the best interest of our community, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our April 19 Open House with plans to reschedule if possible. We have transitioned the University to online learning as our students remain off campus. The earliest date we will resume normal, on-campus operations is April 20. Therefore, an event on April 19 would not provide you with the best opportunity to experience our campus and interact with our community. We are optimistic that we will be able to provide these opportunities later in the spring as well as over the summer.
Spend a day in the life of an RWU student. Sit in on classes, enjoy a meal on campus, and spend time with current students. A shadow visit is one of the best ways to find out if Roger Williams University is the right fit for you.
Please note: Shadow visits are available to any high school student in the fall semester (September-December) and to applied or admitted students ONLY in the spring semester (January-May). Please remember high school vacation weeks fill up quickly and shadow visits are coordinated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please allow us a minimum of two weeks of planning in advance of your desired visit date. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
Group and Counselor Visits
RWU welcomes groups of students from schools and community organizations. Register your group today to learn what it’s like to be a Hawk! We will tailor a group visit to meet your needs and make the most of your time on campus -- whether it’s taking a campus tour, speaking to current students about their experiences, or even hearing from a faculty member in a specific major.
Please note: High school vacation weeks fill up quickly and group visits are coordinated on a first-come, first-served basis. We request you submit all group visit requests a minimum of two weeks in advance of your desired visit date.
