Graphic Designer - Student Programs & Leadership

Job Description

General office work including but not limited to; designing and printing banners, posters, flyers, etc., printing special projects and displays as needed, working professionally and effectively with students, faculty, and staff clients.  Most be able to effectively communicate with clients via telephone and email. The Graphic Designer will assist the SP&L Assistant Director with tracking design center projects, working with other DC staff to maintain an organized and functional office environment. Students are expected to seek out assignments when tasks are completed. Flexible hours are available, but must be completed between Monday and Friday, 8am-6pm. Applicant should expect to work 2 hour shifts minimum.

ALL Student Programs & Leadership student workers are required to work one Special Event each semester with pay, i.e. Homecoming Events/Concert, which will involve late hours on one weekend in addition to one event on Spring Weekend. No exceptions! These are fun events enjoyed by all the students!

Special Skills Needed:
Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator knowledge necessary as well as Microsoft Office. Meticulous and detail oriented person with the ability to handle a busy, multi-task environment. Excellent communication skills, including spelling, grammar and editing. Ability to stay focused and take initiative without constant direction.  Personal creativity is encouraged!  Dependability during assigned work hours is vital for this position.
