Aquarium Research Assistant
Job Description
(flexible depending on experience):
- Assist with the daily maintenance of the marine lab
- Learn and provide proper aquatic animal husbandry techniques
- Provide assistance with current lab projects/experiments
- Some weekend shifts are required
* This is an on-campus work-study position.
Special Skills Needed:
- Strong interest in learning about marine science
- Willingness to work in hard, sometimes wet, and unfavorable conditions
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Willingness to work morning shifts starting at 8 AM
Note: We are also upgrading laboratory systems and are looking for engineering and computer science students to help develop data platforms to monitor water quality and manage schedules.
