Retail Operations Attendant

Job Description

Under the direction of the Retail Operation Attendant Lead and/or the Director of Retail Operations, the position is responsible for providing cash operation services and various support tasks during the assigned shift. Flexible hours- nights and weekends.

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

1.  Retail Operations:

  • Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner;
  • Monitors and maintains retail and display items, beverages, coffee, and condiment area;
  • Keeps cashier area clean, utilizing proper cleaning products and sanitation standards.

2.  Food Preparation:

  • Stocks, prepares, cooks, and serves all menu/food related items in unit assigned;
  • Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds vegetables and fruits; weighs and measures designated ingredients;
  • Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator;
  • Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils; distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment;

3.   Safety:

  • Utilize all Personal Protective Equipment’s per Dining guidelines.
  • Follow all of Dining health and safety standards and requirements.
  • Wear a cut resistant glove whenever using a sharp or potentially sharp tool or instrument.

4.   Physical Demands:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Stand and walk for extended periods of time (2 - 4 hours).
    • Use hands or finger, handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, reach with hands and arms.
    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
    • Repetitive motion of reaching, register use, and handling change (use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms) Twist and bend while standing.
    • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell.

In addition, this position stocks customer supplies, keeps customer tables, chairs, and counters clean and neat and performs any additional duties, as requested.
