Co-Lab Coordinator

Job Description

The Roger Williams University Public Humanities and Arts Collaborative (the Co-Lab) is dedicated to sharing and fostering inclusive narratives, representations, and histories that make historically marginalized or erased populations audible and visible. We collaborate with communities to transform our disciplines through scholarship, programs, and methods that center community perspectives, needs, and knowledge. Our programming includes lecture series, community convenings, workshops and training, and signature public humanities and arts projects.

Being a FIT intern at The Co-Lab offers students the opportunity to develop communications, project management, event planning, grant writing, and program development skills in the humanities and arts alongside a group of Faculty spearheading a community-engaged public humanities and arts curriculum and research program. The candidate will work closely with the Co-Lab’s Faculty Director and Advisory Group to support and implement the center’s events, programming, and fundraising efforts and increasingly contribute to the intellectual shaping of the center and its projects. This position is ideal for students interested in careers in arts and cultural organizations, public history or historic preservation, communications and media studies, digital and public humanities, and education.
