Career Peer Mentors
Career Peer Mentors work directly with students during drop-in hours to develop: resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn. They also promote CCPD services and help encourage their peers to take advantage of CCPD resources and other internship search engines. Career Peer Mentors conduct presentations on various topics at the request of RA’s, student groups, and faculty.

Meet the Career Peer Mentors
Jordan Mason is a junior at RWU majoring in Psychology and minoring in Biology. She resides in the woodsy state of Maine where during the summer and winter works as a Barista. She works as a Peer Mentor for the Center for Student Academic Success, and as a Career Peer Mentor in the Center for Career and Professional Development, both at Roger Williams University. While working these remarkable jobs, she is involved in RWU Photo Club and is an Honors Ambassador for the Honors Program. Jordan recently embarking on a service learning trip to Jamaica where she was introduced to the cultural diversity of family life in the Caribbean. She participated in an important role where she explored Jamaican life in the prevention and treatment of children’s mental health issues.
Jordan loves spending her free time with her friends and family, exploring the coast of Maine and going to the beach. Fun fact about Jordan, she has 6 chickens and loves dill pickle chips.
Christine Peterson is a senior Creative Writing major, minoring in East Asian Studies and Arts Management. Originally from Danbury, Connecticut, she is one of our Peer Mentors during the academic year who spends her free time reading, exploring, or boating. During the summer, she works on Block Island, RI at a marina and during the winter as a waitress at two local restaurants in Danbury,CT.
Fun Fact: She is learning Japanese at RWU with the goal of being able to study abroad and eventually go teach there once she graduates.
Rebecca Rhodes is a senior at RWU majoring in International Business and minoring in Political Science. Rebecca was born and raised in Pittsburgh PA, because of this she loves fries on salads and sandwiches. At RWU she is a Career Peer Mentor and a brother of Delta Sigma Pi, along with her activities at school she is a server at Red Robin. During her free time she spends time with roommates and friends, or talks to her grandma on the phone. She loves to explore new areas and wants to travel the world.
Fun Fact: She was her high school mascot and has been to the United Nations in Geneva Switzerland.
Sophia Desmarais is a sophomore at RWU majoring in biology. She grew up in Bristol and currently is living on campus. She works as a Career Peer Mentor in the Center Of Career & Professional Development and also works at a breakfast diner in Bristol on the weekends. She participates in several on campus clubs, one in particular is the Pre Health Club and hopes to pursue a career in the medical field. She loves to live healthily, happily and spend time with her close friends and family. She's a great self-motivator and loves to explore.
Fun Fact: In addition to her parents and younger brother, she and her family are shared living providers; fostering adults with developmental disabilities. She has an amazing expansion to her family, including a 60 year old woman, Lois and a 39 year old man Craig.
Mary Santoro is a sophomore psychology major with a criminal justice minor at RWU. From the Madison shoreline of Connecticut, she grew up on the water loving the beach, boating, and catching sunsets. Mary is one of the Peer Mentors during the academic year in the Center for Career and Professional Development. During the summers, she works as a nanny for families in Connecticut. She enjoys animals and has two black lab dogs of her own. In her free time Mary enjoys decorating, designing, and watching crime shows on Netflix.
Fun Fact: She can say the alphabet backwards.
Kevin Deeb is a sophomore at RWU majoring in Educational Studies and minoring in Psychology and Political Science. He lives in a suburb of Eastern Mass, Westwood. Where during the winter and summer breaks cashiers at a local grocery store. He is a 1st year Resident Assistant on campus for Freshmen, and also works as a Career Peer Mentor in the Center for Career & Professional Development, both at Roger
Williams University. While working these rewarding jobs, he is also the Inter Class Council class of 2020 Secretary.
Kevin enjoys spending his free time with friends and family, traveling, going in to the city and going to the beach. Fun fact about Kevin, he has a dog, loves watching sunsets and drives a retired police car.
Ashley Pollock is a freshmen cybersecurity major at RWU. She lived in Middleton, MA until she was 15, when she then moved to Berwick, ME. She spends her free time with my friends and family as much as possible. Summer is her favorite season, as she loves the warm weather. She participates in the CEN arts and culture club, and loves to do different crafts.
Fun Fact: She combined her junior and senior years of high school together, graduating at sixteen.
Kristiana (Ana) Cloutier
Ana Cloutier is a freshman at RWU majoring in Psychology. She lives in East Hampton, a small town in Connecticut. In a town right near where she lives in the summer and during breaks from school, she works at a preschool and childcare nursery. She works as a Career Peer Mentor in the Center and Professional Development at RWU. She is involved in the Psych Club, being secretary for Maple's Hall Council and is involved in Zumba classes. Ana loves spending time with friends, going to the beach, and doing karate.
A couple of fun facts abut Ana is that she is a black belt instructor in kenpo karate, she loves macaroni and cheese and is related to Benjamin Franklin.
