Ticking All the Boxes & More
Rosalvens Saint Jean, RWU Class of 2018
Rosalvens Saint Jean's college search had him looking for a university that would prepare him for a career, wouldn't force him to choose between the liberal arts or professional programs, and a campus with small classes and friendly people. RWU ticked every box.
Rosalvens loved the warm, vibrant seaside community he found here and knew that with a 15 to 1 student-to-faculty ratio, he would never get lost in the crowd. The Five-Course Interdisciplinary Core at RWU satisfied Rosalvens desire to be a well-rounded student by learning from the traditional liberal arts: science, history and politics, social science, literature and philosophy, and the fine arts.
Rosalvens lost no time deciding to double major in accounting and management within the RWU's AACSB-accredited Mario J. Gabelli School of Business. After completing a marketing internship with Clavis Insight, Jean spent the past two summers at Ernst & Young, where he's been offered a full-time position after graduation.
“It’s great to get this kind of exposure while I’m still a student – it helps me narrow down exactly what might be the best fit for me in my career.”
On campus, Rosalvens found even more than what he was looking for. He is a Resident Advisor, member of the Delta Sigma PI professional business fraternity and active with Hawks for Haiti – a club that raises funds for medical supplies and educational resources for children in Haiti.
