Financing Your Education

Roger Williams University strives to maintain an active and equitable program for financial assistance for students who would otherwise not be able to attend the institution. Criteria for financial assistance are demonstrated need, academic performance, and U.S. Citizenship or eligible non-citizen status. Aid is awarded without regard to age, gender, race, sexual orientation, creed, national origin or disability.

Types of Aid

There are three types of financial aid: loans, employment, and grants/scholarships.  To begin, each student whether you are new, or returning for another academic year, must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Employment – Study Programs

Students may be able to participate in federally funded work-study opportunities on-campus.

Scholarships & Grants

Timely and complete applications will allow you to have better odds of receiving this form of aid.  Merit based grants and scholarships are on a first come, first serve basis, and is money that does not have to be paid back!
