We know finding housing for your graduate studies can be a stressful process, so we make every effort to provide you with the support you need to find a place to live while pursuing your studies at RWU. Please utilize the resources below to start your housing search.

Graduate students take advantage of a variety of housing options in the local area ranging from rooms in homes and in-law apartments to apartment complexes and multi-unit houses.Costs can vary widely depending on the housing option you select. Below provides some estimated costs for housing options in our area:

Increasingly, graduate students are interested in bringing pets when they relocate to the area. As you search for accommodations, you may find that some housing types may not typically accept pets. Generally, apartment complexes in our area are more favorable to allowing pets. Private landlords are less willing to allow pets for room rentals. 

Our local apartment complex list indicates which properties are open to allowing pets including approved sizes and/or types of pets. Please consult the individual property websites for the most current information and policies.

The majority of area apartments are listed on a variety of public websites. Many of these websites have related apps for your mobile devices as well. Please use these sites and apps carefully, particularly those that list apartments by private sellers. 

Realtors can be a great resource as you look for housing in the area. They often know about properties that may not be listed elsewhere and can watch for properties if you have some time before you move to RWU.

Graduate students can find some local housing options listed on the following RWU-affiliated websites:

  • RWU Graduate Students Facebook Group
    This is a private Facebook group for RWU graduate students and those connected directly with the RWU graduate community. In addition to connecting graduate students, this group is where you can find any individual apartment postings that are shared directly with the Office of Graduate Admission or shared by members of the RWU community. The Group is also a great resource for finding roommates.
     
  • RWU Off-Campus Housing website
    This is the official off-campus housing website hosted by the RWU Office of Residential Life. 
     
  • JumpOffCampus
    RWU partners with the third-party website JumpOffCampus for local apartment listings provided by area landlords. Landlords can post directly to the site if they wish to rent to college students. The site is restricted to use by college students only.
