Financial Crimes Seminar

This one-day 8-hour course will introduce those interested or working in Financial Crimes to a wide array of topics. We will discuss the financial crisis of 2008 and what can be learned from it a decade later. Topics like Crypto currency, Money Laundering, Identity Theft, Embezzlement will be discussed with real casework. We will delve into the challenges facing an individual investigator versus a team and where to find resources. And finally we will look at community educational tools in an effort to prevent members of society from becoming victimized.

This seminar is taught by Sergeant Michael Bronson, South Kingstown (RI) Police Department.  Sergeant Bronson obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Management from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. He also completed his advanced graduate studies in Financial Planning at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. He has a Series 65 license, is an Investment Advisor Representative and currently is working towards his Certified Financial Planner licensing.
