This seminar provides both the legal and procedural background information for law enforcement personnel to understand and operate under the Rhode Island Law Enforcement Officers’ Bill of Rights. The program is designed for both supervisory and subordinate officers and will address issues related to Complaint Initiation, Complaint Investigation, Charging an Employee, and Function of the Hearing Board under the statutory scheme of the Bill of Rights. Additionally, officers will be introduced to the topic of Civilian Review Boards including the various schemes under which the boards are formed and operate; as well as Early Warning Systems and using performance evaluations to discipline officers

The cost for the seminar is $170.00 which covers materials, continental breakfast, breaks and lunch.
