Spring Architecture, HP courses in Santo Domingo

Colonial zone of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

Collaborative coursework in Architecture and Historic Preservation is taking place in the colonial zone of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in Spring 2017. Arch 515 Graduate Architectural Design Studio taught by Assistant Professor Nathan Fash, and Arch 430/530 Materials and Methods of Historic Construction taught by Assistant Professor Jeremy Wells are involved in a semester-long study of several sites in the city including those from the 16th-19th centuries, involving rehabilitation and new construction. The group travelled to Santo Domingo for a site visit in March over RWU’s Spring Break.
