What is a Zine?
The Intercultural Center is proud to showcase the voices, stories and experiences of the RWU student body through our new Zine: New and Dangerous Ideas (NaDI)
A zine is a vehicle for communication and connection. Often viewed as the DIY magazine, authors of zines published their work in small circulations in photocopied-paper format. Zines were created by independent writers and artists interested in exploring a variety of different topics and genres that did not conform exactly to mainstream publications. With the rise of the internet, zines and zine culture transformed its platform from paper to digital, but continues to uphold the foundational tradition of free expression.
