International Student & Scholar Initiatives
International Student Services works in concert with student services and academic departments on campus to ensure the successful matriculation and graduation of international undergraduate and graduate students as well as visiting scholars.
How We Can Help
From immigration assistance to interpersonal help, RWU, through the Intercultural Center (IC), works to inform visa-possessing community members of their responsibilities and introduce them to opportunities both on and off campus. In addition, programs are designed to foster a higher level of interest and understanding of various cultures and backgrounds.
As an international student at Roger Williams University, you will find most of your questions answered at the IC. They are located in the north end of Maple Hall, next to Global Heritage Hall (GHH).
IC Staff - What We Do
The IC staff is here to help you. We can assist you with immigration paperwork, adjusting to the American education system and lifestyle, and obtaining a social security number should you choose to work on campus. The IC sponsors social and cultural trips and programs throughout the school year for our students.
Intercultural Center Hours
The Intercultural Center is open daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feel free to come by anytime to study, chat with friends, meet new people or cook a meal.
The advisor for all international students is Cassiy Hammond. She issues I-20 documents and advises in immigration for all F-1 visa students. In addition, she helps all international students on campus navigate and transition smoothly into their new environment (cultural shock, adjusting to the American classroom, getting a driver’s license, and much more). Please make an appointment at email@example.com or call 401-254-3400.
